Over the holiday we took the boys to San Diego and stayed on Mission Bay. It was our first trip with the both of them, it went really well. One of the days we took them to Legoland, Ethan had a blast and Aidan slept the whole day. It was the fist time that Ethan had been to any kind of amusement park, he had a blast and went on many rides.
Ethan is talking so much, he is so funny with the words he says. He is growing into a little boy right before our eyes. He is a great big brother, he is going to teach Aidan so much. His tantrums are still here, but not as often. He is a strong willed child, which is hard to deal with but I now that he has some great traits that will be good later on in life. He is so independently and not afraid of much.
Aidan is growing like a weed! He is much longer than Ethan was...He is smiling all the time! He is a very content little guy, so easy! He is pretty much sleeping through the night. He loves Joan the daycare provider! He is also just starting to bat his arms at things and is also talking a bunch. He hears his brother talking and just wants to take part in it all.

Last weekend, we had our cousin's out for the day! It was great to see Jim, Jenny, and Gracie. They were able to meet Aidan and also get to play with Ethan. We don't get to see them all that much so this was a nice treat and we are so thankful that they came down to see us. We are looking forward to seeing them in 2 months for Gracie's second birthday! We are so excited about that!!!
On Monday, little Aidan got his first set of shots! It was so sad, he cried alot. Poor thing, he also got a little fever and his legs were very sore. The doctor says that he looks like Ethan but with bigger cheeks. Last week I noticed that alot of Aidan's clothes seemed to be getting to short for him, I found this weird because he is only 2 months and already outgrowing his 0-3 month clothes. Ethan was in these clothes until 4 months. So I had a feeling he was going to be measuring long at the appointment. Here are his stats:
7 pounds 9 ounces(50% percentile)
23 1/2 inches(75% perecentile)
At this point Ethan only weighed 7 pounds and was 22 1/2 inches long. So I was right Aidan is a little bit bigger than Ethan. I guess he will be the bigger little brother!!!

Ethan and Aidan's party went off without a hitch! We had such a great time visiting with family and friends. It was wonderful to see everyone and for us to show off our beautiful boys. Ethan is already two, but is growing each and everyday. He is extremely active and loves to keep us on our toes. Ethan loved the bounce house at the party, he was jumping and climbing on all the things inside. Aidan didn't go in the bounce house but was able to visit with the great-grandparents and great-great aunt!!
Ethan is your typical two year old boy! He loves to run, jump, and on occasion throw tantrums. He is starting to talk more and can tell us what he wants which is nice. However when he is upset he is unable to tell us anything. I am still figuring him out. He may look like Larrs but he is me. I guess I am getting back what I gave to my parents, it has come full circle. Yikes! Ethan loves Aidan (or Ian) as he calls him, he loves to help get a binkie, diaper, or anything else he can find to help his little brother. Ethan has some coined phrase, here a couple of my favorite:

Well, everyone here in the Johnson household is great! We are adjusting to life with two kids. It is kinda crazy at times, but we are learning to take things day by day. Ethan is now officially a terrible two, he is throwing tantrums and being very defiant. He is giving us a run for our money. Despite this, he is keeping us on our toes. He loves his new brother and wants to be helpful with giving him a blanket or a pacifier. I know it will get harder before it gets easier. Ethan loves to play outside with his daddy and is learning many new words. He is amazing us each day! He is truly a joy to watch grow! On to Aidan, he is sleeping in his crib now!!! He sleeps about 6-8 hours straight at night, I am so lucky to have sleepers. Maybe in a couple more weeks I can have a good nights rest. At his 1 month checkup he weighed in at 8 pounds 12 ounces (25% percentile) and was 21 1/4 inches long (50% percentile). He is growing like a weed! He is looking more and more like Ethan everyday, I definitely think that the Johnson gene is in both of my boys. We are busy preparing for our party here this weekend and can't wait for family and friends to celebrate with us! I will post pictures on Sunday of the party!

So Ethan is two years old, I can't believe how quickly that happened. I feel like we are living it all over again with Aidan. Things are going well around here, as far as the baby the second time around is so much easier. It is Ethan that we are always chasing after, he seems to be adjusting to the new addition fine. He doesn't really give to much attention to Aidan, he is so independent that he is far to busy to pay attention!

Here are the boys stats from the doctors visit last week:

Ethan: 34 1/2 inches tall 60% percentile

25 1/2 pounds 20% percentile

Aidan: 20 3/4 inchess long 80% percentile

7 pounds 7 1/2 ounces 15% percentile

I guess the boys will be tall and thin, what a shocker!!! All is well with Larrs and I, Larrs is off for one more week! He has been working really hard around the house getting little projects done, I really appreciate all his hard work. He has been doing things all over the house and trying to keep Ethan out of my hair! Ethan is sure going to miss his daddy next week when he goes back to work. I am feeling great, the first week was hard but things get easier each day! Well, I will definately be putting pictures on more frequently!

Aidan was born last Wednesday, a healthy and happy boy. Everything thing with the C-Section went fine, it wasn't as bad as I anticipated. The worst part about the whole procedure was the fact that it took four tries to get the IV started. My doctor's were great, they made me feel very safe through the whole surgery. Aidan is so sweet just like his brother! He is sleeping alot during the day, which is a nice change. Ethan is adjusting well to having a little brother. He loves to find the baby and give him his binkie and blankie. It is so cute! I know that in time he will help out and love to play with his baby brother. I am at home until April, so I will be enjoying some one on one time with Aidan a couple of days during the week when Ethan is at daycare. I am so lucky to have the help of Larrs for 3 weeks and the help of my mom for 1 week after that. It is a big help for me until I recooperate. I will post more pictures later in the week!

Big Mess

Well, sorry I have not updated in a long time. I have been extremely busy with finishing up the last of things at work for my maternity leave and with having little to no energy when I get home from work. I have not been feeling all that great with the final weeks of preganancy in full force. Aidan is sittitng very low in my pelvis area and is causing lots of pressure. He is scheduled to be born C-Section on January 7th, so we will keep you updated on the goings on of the new little boy.

On to the good stuff, Ethan and us have been keeping very busy. In early November we went down to San Diego for a wedding. While there we took him to the San Diego Zoo and to Seaport Village. He loved to see all the animals, enough though he called them all "doggies". Well he did call the monkies "mommies". Wonderful! Ethan is a very curious boy and is not afraid to try anything.

For Thanksgiving we went up to Big Bear for the holiday, we drove up Tuesday night and stayed through Sunday. It was a real relaxing weekend, it was great to take it easy with so many adults to watch after Ethan. Ethan loved playing outside with Daddy, and wanted to help Daddy rake the leaves and shovel. He is such a boy, he wants to be in the action of what the boys are doing. He loves boy toys!

I also took Ethan 2 weekends ago to visit Santa, I was fully prepared that he would not like him. Ethan saw Santa and Santa waved at him, Ethan looked so petrafied but did manage to wave back at him cautiously. It was so funny! When it was our turn he didn't want to go on Santa's lap, but we put him down there anyway. He kicked off his shoes becuase he was so upset, but didn't really cry all that much. So it wasn't too bad, next year should be interesting with the the two boys.

Also, another big change we made here was transitioning Ethan from a crib to the toddler bed to a twin bed in a matter of 3 weeks. The night we got home from Thanksgiving he spent his first night in the toddler bed, he only got out of his bed 4 times! This was a shock to us because we had to put a tent over his crib to keep him in there. I thought for sure he would be up many times and would be taking things out of his drawers and destroying his room. He stayed in the toddler bed for about 3 weeks and then we put him in the twin bed and in the new bedroom. He did great!!! I am so happy that we did all this before Aidan arrives, he loves his new bed and room.

He loves his room so much yesterday, he did not want to go down for a nap, he took every book off his bookshelf and proceeded to take all the wipes out of the container and empty his diaper drawer. If that was not enough he took his pants and the diaper he was wearing off. I thought I should go in the room because he was having way to much fun, the first thing he said when I opened the door was "Poopie". That was too funny! So mommy cleaned the mess up and put him down again.

Thank you for looking at our update, I promise that I will not forgot about the blog again. I will hopefully post our Christmas pictures, but you probably will not see a post until Adian is born in early January.

Here are some pictures of Ethan on Halloween. Larrs was able to take off a couple of hours and go trick or treating with Ethan. He did pretty good, he obviously doesn't like to sit still for pictures. I tried to get a picture of him sitting in front of his pumpkins at our house but I was unsuccessful. We went to Aunt Lynn's house, Granny's, Mary's, and my parents to go trick or treating. Ethan's favorite candies are M & M's and Tootsie R0lls, I need to get rid of the candy so it is out of sight out of mind.

Two weekends ago we went camping with Larrs' parents and Larrs' partners family to Pismo beach. We had a great time, on Saturday they had a fair on the pier for the kids. Ethan had a great time walking and watching the birds and also the surfers. A fire truck and police car were there too, he loved climbing into them and playing with all the gadgets. He is becoming quite a ham, he loves to do things for attention!

Larrs and Ethan went on a field trip with the daycare today to the pumpkin patch in Moorpark. Ethan had a great time with his friends riding on the hay ride, seeing animals, and picking out a pumpkin. They are all so cute! Our daycare lady, Joan is so wonderful with Ethan. She has been very patient with our little guy and he is just one of the kids now!!!

Last week we went to Underwood Pumpkin Patch in Moorpark. It was alot of fun, Ethan loved looking at the animals and trying to pick up the pumpkins. I couldn't get a picture of Ethan in the middle of the pumpkins looking at me, he never stopped moving. Gee what a surprise! While there he would go over to the fruit stand and grab a grape of the vine, we had to buy some grapes after he ate 6 of them. Ethan will be going back to the pumpkin patch with Daddy this Wednesday for a field trip, so maybe he will sit still for a picture.

Ethan loves going to the park, especially playing in the sand. My friend Allie and her two kids met us at a park in Calabasas, it is the best park. This park was made for children in wheelchairs and it has the foam padding all over the playground. It has two different playgrounds one for the little ones and one for 3 years and up. We went to Sea World on my break as well, Ethan enjoyed looking at the different water animals. Low and behold, he still called all of them "doggies". The best part was the section in the park for kids called "Bay of Play", we were able to go on 2 of the rides and there was a place for kids to play. He enjoyed playing in the ropes with Daddy high above the park. Little daredevil!!!

Over my break, we did alot of things together as a family. One day we went up to Santa Barbara Zoo, it was a beautiful day and we got to see all different types of animals. However, Ethan thinks all animals are doggies. He is learning so many new words, but has yet to say daddy. I keep trying to teach him....oh well maybe daddy needs to teach him. Ethan enjoyed feeding the giraffe at the zoo, and watching the lions. After going to the zoo, we went to State St. for lunch. It was a great day and it was fun to be together as a family.

We have started swim lessons (aka screaming lessons) again with Ethan. It has been quite interesting, he loves the water until the lessons begin. Instead of practicing on swimming he practices on his screaming!!! It has gotten better...you can't tell from the video. He is learning more each and every day, he loves to say beep, beep and cho, cho. It is pretty cute! Also, he loves saying Mama to everybody including Daddy...We will keep you updated more!!!

On Monday, we went to the doctor to find out the sex of the baby...and what a shocker that was...IT'S A BOY!!!!! So Ethan will be thrilled to have a co-conspirator with him at all times. Larrs and I haven't picked out any names yet, but that is on our agenda next. Everything looked good with Baby #2, and we are excited that we will be the proud parents of 2 beautiful baby boys!

Today we went to doctor and got an ultrasound done. It was exciting to see the baby moving all around in my belly, and I couldn't feel a thing. The tech seemed to think it was a boy, but was not sure. The doctor wouldn't say either way...keep you updated!

A few weeks ago our whole family took a trip to Arizona to bury my grandpa. He passed in late April and we choose to have the memorial on Father's Day weekend. It was a fun filled and crazy weekend, we had 2 vans jammed pack with baby crap. We had 10 adults and 3 babies! Despite all the driving we did that weekend, it was such a joy to see where my mom grew up and places where she loved to visit. It was wonderful taking Ethan there, even though he won't remember it we have pictures to show him. We definitely will be taking him back there again to visit.

Last Thursday and Friday we went across the water and visited Victoria British Columbia. We had a great time! We were able to make it up to Butchart Gardens, it was so beautiful. I have never seen so many beautiful flowers and it all kept up so nice. After that we checked into the bed and breakfast, The Humboldt House. It was great, we had a two bedroom suite. In the morning the innkeeper brought us a beautiful breakfast in a basket, the breakfast was delicious. After that I got a scrub and a massage at the Empress, it was fantastic! Later that day we shopped and enjoyed the sites around Victoria. We definitely will be making a trip back.

Today we went on a whale watching trip, it was so much fun. It was a first for all of us!!! The tour began at 12 and didn't end until 6:30pm, needless to say it was a really long day and we are still rocking. It was definitely worth the money! We kept sailing until we came across a pod of ocra's near the Washington and Canada border. The boat company promised us that we would see whales, so we went to the furthest point that they go and of course came across lots of whales. It was amazing!!! We had a great time and Ethan made lots of friends on the boat.

This past week has been a busy one, we went from Uncle Brian' s wedding to start packing for our three week vacation and graduation in the middle of all that.

Graduation was on Thursday, I graduated with my Masters in Educational Leadership from Cal State Northridge. I started the program being pregnant, having Ethan and raising him, and continuing to work full time. I feel that is a pretty amazing task. Just going to school is hard and all the others things life has in store for us just makes it more challenging. But I did it!
So now we are on our vacation, we took three days and drove up to Washington, we are at our first stop of the trip: Anacortes, WA. It is so beautiful and lush! Here is a picture of us on the ferry to San Juan Island.

15 Months

So Ethan is now 15 months!!! Here are his new stats: 31 inches long (50% percentile) and 20 pounds 15 ounces (7% percentile). So you can tell from hearing his stats that he is tall and skinny. We are trying to teach him to eat from a bowl with a spoon, and as you can see it is going great!!! I think we need to feed him outside with a tarp below him. Ethan is keeping us on our toes, he is constantly climbing on everything, he has many bruises all over his shins. The doctor said that usually babies his age have bruises on their heads, and they don't bruises on their shins usually until 2-3 years old. Nope, our little one has them because he is a monkey. But despite his climbing skills he is still a very good baby. Sleeping 10 hours at night and taking naps that total 3-4 hours during the day. I will be off soon from work and can enjoy taking him to the park and other places!!!

This weekend Ethan started in a Gymboree class. It was the first time he had been around so many kids in such a little room. He was having a good time until he hurt his hand, and then everything went down hill from there. He was trying to leave the gym the whole time, and crying. When the instructor would start singing or an activity he would cry. He was also keeping a close eye on me, he would run to me and hug my leg. This was so out of character for Ethan, hopefully this Saturday he will be more adjusted to the people.

Happy Easter!!! I can't believe that it is already Ethan's 2nd Easter. Well on Friday night I took him to see the Easter Bunny, I was fully expecting him to cry and throw a fit. That was not the case, he loved him. As you can see from the picture he was even holding onto the Bunny. Ethan is walking all over the place and getting into everything possible. This past weekend Ethan, Grandma, and I went on a road trip up to Sacramento. Along the way we made a few stops, we visited Cousin Gracie in San Jose. It was great to catch up! We all had a wonderful time. Ethan tore up the house and was a busy boy crawling all over the house. Cousin Jenny and Jim got to see what they will have to do to their house when Gracie starts crawling. Yikes!!! We went to a small zoo in the morning and then headed on our way up to Sacramento.

Ethan's first birthday party was on Saturday! He had such a blast, getting wet and going through three outfits in a matter of 3 hours. Total boy!!!! Ethan started his day off in the backyard crawling across the grass and then ending up on the patio. He proceeded to the dog bowl and stuck his face and hands in it, then dumped the whole bowl over!!!! Needless to say he was very wet. Then it was time to open presents, he helped with a couple of gifts but got bored. After presents we ate birthday cake and sang Happy Birthday to him, he was so good! He seemed to like the cake, although he really did not get himself that messy. Family members just helped him with the mess! It was a great day and it was so nice to see so many family and friends!

Ethan is one! The year has gone by so quickly and filled with many memories. Larrs' Aunt Lynn watches Ethan a couple times a week and has just been a blessing to us throughout Ethan's first year. We really appreciate all that she has done for us and Ethan. Ethan went to her house this morning and opened a gift (which of course was a fire truck)! He was so excited he was bouncing and making a lot noise. Then later in the day he made a cake with Aunt Lynn, he was so excited about the cake he dipped his fingers into the frosting! Yummy!
Later that day we went to see Dr. Rubin for his 12 month checkup. It went pretty well, he has grown taller over the last few months. Ethan is now 29 1/2 inches long (45% percentile up from 15% percentile) , but is only 19 pounds 3 ounces (6% percentile down from 10% percentile) . I swear I am feeding the kid, he is just burning up all the calories with how active he is! So now we have to keep him on the formula until 15 months and starting feeding him more of our dinners. Then, as the doctor was checking his ears she asks me, "Did he have a cold?". I said "No, I don't think he did." Well apparently he has a ear infection...Oh boy! What a bad mom I am! Yikes! Well despite how awful I felt Ethan was as happy as a clam!

Ethan's first Christmas was really fun! On Christmas Eve we went to Larrs' aunt and uncle's house, it was really fun. The food was delicious and it was fun to see the boys play around with all there new things. Ethan enjoyed opening presents and then climbing up on them. From all that hard work he was tired and took a nap with Grandpa on the couch.
On Christmas morning we went to my parents' house for presents and breakfast. Ethan had more presents then the rest of us put together. He loved the wrapping paper and all the bows. His favorite gift was the lion walker he received from Santa. He loves it and walks with it all over the house. It is really funny to see him walking upright, rather than crawling on the ground.
I can't believe it has almost been a year! WOW! He continues to amazes us each day, he has a great personality. He is quite the charmer, he will blow kisses now! It is so cute! We are busy planning his birthday party...

Ethan has a new trick. He goes underneath the kitchen table and pulls a chair out then he pushes it and walks with it all the way to the stove. He is getting really clever with the things he does! Ethan is 11 months old today! He is so fun, but really wiggly. We like to call him Mr. Wiggles, he constantly needs to be moving. So needless to say, he is a real boy. He goes all day long and then crashes hard at night. He weighs about 19 pounds and is around 29 inches long. He is growing right before our eyes. Ethan now has 4 teeth (2 top and 2 bottom), it is amazing what teeth will do to your appearance. He is crawling all around but is showing no signs of walking. Ethan is so social and loves talking and dancing to music. In all the stores ladies tell him how sweet and handsome he is. Already I am having to chase the girls away from him. We are looking forward to a great Christmas and wonderful New Year!

Sorry it has been so long since an update, I am now off work and enjoying spending time with the little guy. He is all over the place and needs to be crawling and touching things at all times. He finally cut his first tooth 3 weeks ago, I thought he would never get teeth. Now 2 are in on the bottom and the top two are cutting in as well. Teething is not very fun, but with the help of Tylenol it makes things better.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving up in Big Bear, it was chilly but no snow. Larrs' family and my parents came up to enjoy a weekend of family, friends, and food. Ethan was entertaining us all as usual. He is really funny, and is smiling constantly. Ethan was able to eat some of the turkey dinner, he seemed to enjoy it.
Ethan has a few trick he does now: he waves bye and hi and when you say "bounce, bounce, bounce" he bounces up and down. It is so freakin' cute!
On the holiday weekend he was standing on his own for a few seconds. He is getting more and more comfortable doing this and maybe he will be walking before his first birthday. Enjoy the pictures!

Ethan is 10 months old, and is as cute as can be. He is really starting to understand language and is getting so big. He weighs almost 19 pounds! He is crawling everywhere, pulling himself up, and cruising around furniture. He says lots of different sounds like: mamaaaaaa, dddddd, and my favorite arggggg. He loves the dogs, when we asks him where the puppies are he crawls to the big slider and talks to them. I think he is trying to say dog, but it is not coming out. He loves touching the dogs fur, and then just babbles. He also loves being read to he laughs when you read the pages to him. His favorite book is "Where is Baby's Belly Button", he loves to pull the flaps and see what is under them. It is precious! I am now off-track for 7 weeks and will be able to spend one on one time with him. I can't wait, we will have a great time together.

Ethan is nine months old today. The time has flown by, it feels like yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. He is turning in to a little boy right before our very eyes. It is so wonderful to see him develop and learn new things. Ethan is able to crawl, pull himself up onto things, cruise around the table, and can pick up small snacks and feed it to himself. He is very active and wants and needs to touch everything in sight, and then put it in his mouth. However, at nine months he is left with no teeth or hair. Poor guy! The doctor says they will come soon. Here are his stats: 17 pounds 7 ounces (10% percentile) and 27 1/2 inches long (26% percentile). He is a little small for being nine months, but the doctor ensured us that he will be fine. Dr. Rubin said that we could start on yogurt, cheese, and bread. Hopefully that will fatten him up.
We have been very busy the past few weeks, we have been to Sea World and to the Kern River for camping. We enjoy taking him places and seeing the world. Hope you enjoy the update!

On Sunday Ethan had his first swimming lessons at the YMCA. He was the only one to show up for class so he had a private lesson. It went really well, he started out just just splashing around in the water, then he kicked on the boars, and he finished up floating on his back. After his lessons he was so tired, he did a good job!

Today Ethan and I had a really busy day. We started off the morning going to the LACMA Museum for Mommy's school. Then we headed to Dylan's first birthday party, we had such a wonderful time. We enjoyed the afternoon of swimming, talking, eating and seeing Dylan eat his cake. Boy was that cute! Ethan got to swim in the kiddie pool, he had a wonderful time splashing around. I can't believe that a year has flown by already, soon it will be our turn! Then we headed to Grandma's house, when we got there he was playing and then he started to get on his hands and knees and sort of scoot forward. It was really cool! I am sure in the next couple of days he will figure it out! My little boy is growing up!

Good Morning Sunshine!

I know it has been a long time, I have been so busy with work and life. Things are going really well, Ethan is getting bigger and literally growing before our eyes. He is such a joy and really is starting to have quite a personality. Seven months has gone by so quick, I just remember when we were at the hospital. As you see from the pictures he is reaching some milestones. He is able to sit up by himself, and roll all over the place, he can pull himself up from a sitting position, and he is getting up on all fours and able to rock and move backwards a bit. Not too much longer before crawling, probably another month or two. Ethan also loves to talk he just babbles and babbles and gets louder and louder. It is cute however going to the restaurant for a quiet dinner is impossible. That is okay, we will get to go again in 18 years. For now, I guess we need to stick to loud restaurant such as Chuckie Cheese. We will keep you updated on Ethan's latest tricks!

On Saturday my friend Allie invited us to her parents beach house in Malibu. It was a beautiful day! We were able to see lots of stars!!! It was really exciting!!! Ethan had a really great time and he was able to play with Dylan. He liked pulling on Dylan's clothes it was really cute. In a couple of months the boys should be able to play together. My friends and I walked down the beach and passed Matthew and his friends playing Frisbee and he said "Hi" to us!!!

Ethan is 6 months old! On Tuesday we went Ethan's 6 month checkup everything is going well, he did a good job with the shots. His stats are: 15 pounds 8 ounces (15% percentile) and 16 1/4 inches long (47% percentile). He did go down from the 30% to 15% in weigh so the doctor wants me to start feeding him a little more. But everything went really well and we can now start on veggies and fruits. He had peas and seemed to like them, although he made funny faces. Next is green beans! Yum! Ethan is learning to sit up all by himself and can pass toys between both of his hands. He is really happy and just enjoying looking around and getting attention. He loves to watch the dogs, he even laughs at them!

For weeks now Ethan has been grabbing his feet and playing with them. However, tonight when giving him a bath he has discovered his toes. Ethan pulled them to his mouth and was sucking on them. On Monday we all went to the Dodger game, it was Ethan's first game. We had a great time, but when we were walking up to the stadium I feel and skinned my knees. Thank goodness I was not holding Ethan. So I was bruised and bleeding, but I was fine. Ethan loved watching the big scoreboard, he didn't really watch the game. He really wanted to have nachos, hot dog, and beer. When we were eating he was opening his mouth and lunging toward any food item. I think we have a hungry boy on our hands. We are going to be starting veggies here in a couple of weeks. But the Dodger's won 8-2, Ethan is our good luck charm! Ethan does not like loud noises like when people are shouting and screaming. I felt bad for the poor guy! He finally fell asleep in Daddy's lap.

Our big boy is now eating in his highchair. He looks so cute in it! Ethan loves being able to sit up and look around at what it happening around him. The highchair on wheels, so we can take it around the house. I like taking him in the kitchen with me while I am cooking, he liked to see what was going on. Ethan is able to roll over, however if you ask Larrs' mom she will say he doesn't. He started rolling over from his tummy to his back for a couple of days. But has not done it since! Ethan is learning to sit up, but has some trouble. He loves putting everything he can get his hands on in his mouth.

Last weekend we all went down to Aliso Viejo and visited Uncle Brian and Aunt Christy in their new apartment. We also we able to see my aunt and uncle while we were down. What we came home to

One of the days we decided to go out of the East Entrance of Yellowstone and visit the town of Cody. It is a little old western town with a lot of charm. We ate lunch at an old saloon, it was pretty cool. It seemed that everyone knew one another in the restaurant. I guess that is what its like in a small town. After lunch we looked through a few shops on the main street. Then it was time to head to the Buffalo Bill Historical Museum which for who the town it named. Buffalo Bill's real name is William Cody. The whole story is pretty interesting and the museum has a ton of personal items belonging to Cody. They even have his childhood home at the museum. Since we were in a big toen we decided to pick up a few things at the grocery store: Super Wal-Mart. Larrs decided to go in, he came out an hour later. All he bought was paper towels, milk, and steak. When he came back to the car he said that was a huge store. Like put a regular Wal-Mart, Lowe's, and Home Depot together and that is a Super Wal-Mart. After that adventure,we decided it was time to head back to the park because it was getting late so we headed up the hill and as we got higher in elevation the weather got worse. This road going in through this entrance is being repaired, only one lane is in use. A pilot car takes you in either direction, so it takes a while to get up the hill. By the time we got home it was 7pm and we both were starving. Everything was covered in 4 inches of snow!!!

Ethan is now 4 months old!!! We have been very busy lately visiting family, we are now on our family vacation to Yellowstone. Mother's Day was wonderful, Daddy made me a nice breakfast and then we opened presents. Ethan got me a massage for when we are on vacation. That will be really relaxing. We went to the doctor on Tuesday to receive Ethan's next round of shots. He weighed in at 13 pounds 13 ounces (30% percentile) and is 25 inches long (50% percentile). He is getting so big as my mom would say. He has definately grown in length, hopefully my side of the family will help out in that department. Dr. Rubin said that we could start him on rice cereal, that was really funny. Ethan just made funny faces, but seemed to like it he smiled after each bite.

We started our trip up to Yellowstone by making a stop in San Jose to visit Cousin Jenny. Jenny had Grace Ellen last Tuesday. It was so fun to see Jenny and Jim so happy. It brought back memories of Ethan being that age. It feels like so long ago he was that little, but look how much he has grown in 17 weeks. While we were up there we also went to meet Larrs' grandpa and aunt. It was fun to get together with them, we had a great lunch. Aunt Anita held Ethan the whole time.

After we left there we headed on our long journey up to Yellowstone National Park. We are currently in West Yellowstone, Montana. It is beautiful here, so many trees. On our way to the park we made a stop at Bear World. It was really cool, we drove the truck through the park and around you are bears. It was a little scary but really interesting to see the animals so close. Boy are they big. We even saw little bear cubs. They are so cute, but I don't think I would want to touch them. Ethan also saw his first IMAX movie, he loved looking at the big screen. However when the loud sounds happened he starting screaming. We decided to move to the back of the theater and then we put him in Larrs lap and he feel alseep. Poor Guy! We will keep you updated along our trip.

Ethan sported his first pair of shades last night. Jenny and Mike came over for dinner and gave Ethan a cute outfit and the sunglasses. He was unsure about them, but boy does he look funny. Daddy sunglasses almost match his. Ethan is almost 4 months now and getting really big. He is just about in 6-9 month clothing!!! Boy, they sure grow fast!!!

Last week we all went out to dinner with the Ramsey's. We had a great time. The boys were able to see each other again, they were adorable. Allie's son Dylan is 8 months old and just about ready to crawl. He was so excited to see Ethan all he wanted to do is touch him. He even gave Ethan a hug and a kiss. That would be funny to show them these pictures when they get older!!! Blackmail... We had a great time with the Ramsey's, they are a great couple. We both got married at Calamigo's within a few weeks of one another, and now have babies that are 5 months apart.

Last weekend we went camping at Lake Casitas in Ojai. It was beautiful and nice to get away for a few days. We took our new trailer out to make sure that we have everything for our trip to Yellowstone in 3 weeks. We went for a walk and even roasted marshmellows. Oh what fun!

Ethan is three months old, time flies. In the last month Ethan has learned to do many things such as holding his head up and sucking his fingers. He is really starting to have quite a personality. Every morning I wake up to a smiling baby, it makes my heart melt and puts me in a good mood. He has the funniest laugh you ever heard. He loves to watch the fan and loves balloons. I only have 12 days left of school!!! I can't wait to be home with Ethan and spend more time with him. This past weekend we took Ethan up to the family cabin for the first time. We had a great time, and to our surprise we woke up on Sunday morning to snow. It was such a treat! He did really well with the elevation which was good! On the way home on Sunday we were able to meet my friend's baby. His name is Jacob and he is 2 weeks old, it brought back memories. It feels like Ethan was that old yesterday. He was so precious! We are having a great time with Ethan and enjoy taking him places. This next weekend we are going camping at Lake Casitas.

Here comes Ethan Cottontail hoppin' down the bunny trail...

Well today was Ethan's first Easter...He had a great time and was passed around like a sack of potatoes. Ethan and I went to see Grandpa in the hospital and Grandpa loved his bunny ears. Then we went to my parents house for dinner and had the whole family over. Ethan had two Easter outfits so he had to make a quick change into the other one. Boy did everyone get a kick out of his bunny suit. It was great to see the family, my aunt, uncle, and cousin had not see him in a month. They think that he is the cutest baby ever, I have to agree with them. Next Easter we will have an Easter Egg Hunt and get to color eggs with him.

Sorry it has been so long since I last put pictures up. It has been really crazy juggling work and being a mom. Ethan is almost 3 months old!!! Boy how time flies...Last weekend the Johnson family went camping in Santa Barbara. Ethan meet his Aunt Jo, Uncle Dan, Travis and Garrett. They all thought he was so cute and definitely looked like Larrs. Of course they thought that everyone does. Larrs and I purchased a travel trailer to go camping in. It is really nice and we can't wait to take it out for our trip to Yellowstone. Also, this week Ethan went to see the Easter Bunny at the mall. He smiled for the picture...I hope he does the same thing for Santa in December.

Bumbo

Today Ethan went in his Bumbo chair. Since he can pretty much hold his head up by himself now, this chair allows him to sit up. He loved it! He also watched a Baby Einstein DVD in it today. He loved looking at all the bright colors and listening to the songs. Ethan is responding to people when he is talked to. This week was a busy one because I went back to work on Monday. It was hard for me to leave him, but he was with daddy and grandma so all was good. I am realizing that it is extremely hard to be a working mom. I am learning to juggle all the things that need to be done around here and having a hard time with it! I am sure in a couple of weeks I will be better at managing my time. Ethan is as cute as a bug and he is so calm. He is sleeping between 6-9 hours which is great for me!!!

Well our little one is now 2 months old. I can't believe how times flies. My mom keeps tell me that he will be in Kindergarten before you know it! Yikes! Over the weekend we had an Open House for people to come and meet Ethan. We had a great turn out and everybody enjoyed the little one. He must have been exhausted from his party because that night he slept for 9 1/2 hours!!! It was great!!! I am going back to work tomorrow, yuck! It will be hard for me to leave him, but he is in good hands with Daddy and Grandma.

On Wednesday we meet Makalah and her son Cameron at Mimi's Cafe. Both boys slept the entire time, what angels. Cameron was born on February 5th, the day before my original due date. He is the same size as Ethan but 3 weeks younger. He is precious! Makalah is also a teacher and is going back to work next week, yuck! We were commiserating about going back to reality. Makalah's brother works with Larrs and his son's name is Ethan Charles as well, what a coincidence.

Shots, Yuck!

Ethan had his first round of shots on Tuesday. It was really horrible to watch! He was poked three times, two on one leg and one on the other. I was so happy Larrs came with me because he helped me and Ethan. What a good husband and daddy. He did not have a fever, but he did sleep a lot during the day. So Ethan is healthy and growing. He now weighs 11 pounds (30% percentile) and 22 1/2 inches long (35% percentile). I just can't believe how big he has gotten. I look at his newborn clothes and can't believe he used to wear them. Also, he is becoming a good sleeper at night averaging about 6 hours. So all in all things are going great and we are enjoying seeing him grow each day.
